Am I premature with the following overview?

Probably not.

Given the US Deep State's characteristically fascist record.

Here is what happened to American citizen Scott Ritter

Ritter was on his way to Russia for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) when he was pulled off the plane and had his documents confiscated.

“I was boarding the flight. Three [police] officers pulled me aside. They took my passport. When asked why, they said ‘orders of the State Department’. They had no further information for me,” Ritter told RT.

“They pulled my bags off the plane, then escorted me out of the airport. They kept my passport.”

Naturally . . .

. . . the Great American Security State had nothing to say in lawful justification of its actions.

Presumably, it takes whatever it wants. First, Fourth and Fifth Amendments be damned.

The US State Department does not comment on the fact that former UN inspector for monitoring the elimination of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction Scott Ritter, who previously served in intelligence in the US Marine Corps, was removed from the flight from New York to Istanbul.

"We cannot comment on the status of the passport of a private U.S. citizen," a State Department spokesperson told TASS.

US Government's response — translated

We cannot tell you why we are so grossly limiting your freedoms.

But, because we American Fascists know best, it is for your own good.

Wallow-grovel before us, lowly pissant.

Why would the Biden administration do this kind of showboating strong-arming?

Ritter's hypothesis as to that, seems accurate:

Ritter was scheduled to participate in two panel discussions at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) this week.

He was stopped from boarding a Turkish Airlines flight on Monday, when US border officials seized his passport, he reported after the incident.

“This was a deliberate ambush,” he [Ritter] said.

Ritter said he overheard an airline employee saying that his baggage had been loaded last because they were tipped off that he would not be allowed to leave the country.

The journalist said he was “100% certain” that the Department of State was retaliating against him for his friendly attitude towards Russia.

The actions of the US government were “purely spiteful,” since it could just have called him to tell he was grounded, he explained.

The political commentator said he had also planned to attend a security event in Moscow, as well as touring several Russian regions to offer his audience an in-depth view on life in the country.

He had given the US authorities notice of these plans, as required.

“I am thinking they’ve freaked out,” he said of US officials.

“They saw ‘St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.’ They saw ‘Moscow International Security Conference.’ And they’ve said: ‘Shut this thing down.’ And that’s what they did.”

Notice how childishly emotional . . .

. . . the State Department's actions appear to have been.

This immature mindset neocon characterizes the entirety of American Government's responses to the visible collapse of US bullying's effectiveness around the world.

An established pattern of Government behavior

Recall that the United States condemned US citizen Gonzalo Lira to death in Nazi Ukraine.

Exclusively for trying to tell Americans the truth about what had caused the Ukraine War and how it was progressing.

In allowing Ukraine's Ukro-Nazis to subsequently imprison and kill Lira — without meaningful US intervention — like a simple phone call — Lira was conveniently 'disappeared' by American Government.

That being so, just as surely as former President Barrack Obama ordered the murder of US citizen — Anwar al-Awlaki — without a trace of due process.

Not to mention the 3 other Americans that the Eloquent Sleaze Bag caused to be executed.

Corporatist fascism, we can intuit, loves its precedents.

The moral? — It is increasingly likely that civil war is the only thing . . .

. . . that might save the Founders' restrained-government United States from complete obliteration.
