The following fully representative act . . .
. . . perfectly describes the pillaging nature of Western political culture:
Finland cites EU sanctions to seize $46 million in Russian art on loan overseas
Finland announced on Wednesday that its customs service seized Russian artwork that was returning after being loaned to exhibits in the EU and Japan, citing EU sanctions against Moscow over the conflict in Ukraine.
The paintings and sculptures in question belong to Moscow's Tretyakov Gallery and St. Petersburg's Hermitage Museum, among others, and their value has been estimated at $46 million or more.
The seizure took place over the weekend at Vaalimaa, the busiest crossing on the Finland-Russia border, but Finnish Customs confirmed it at a press conference on Wednesday.
"The shipments that have now come under criminal investigation were detected as part of our customary enforcement work," Sami Rakshit, the director of enforcement at Finnish Customs, said.
The agency justified the seizure by saying that "a paragraph" of the EU sanctions against Russia - imposed over the course of the past six weeks due to the escalation of hostilities in Ukraine - referred to artwork.
The unspecified number of paintings and sculptures was being stored "with overall consideration for their value, characteristics and safety," pending a full investigation, Finnish Customs said.
The Finnish Foreign Ministry will consult the European Commission about the fate of the works.
According to Russian media, the trucks contained over 200 paintings from the Hermitage and Tretyakov which had been on loan to the 'Grand Tour: Dreams of Italy from Venice to Pompeii' exhibit in Milan, Italy.
Another shipment was on exhibit in Japan and was also coming home via Finland.

Finland's theft characterizes the West
It also explains why NATO, the European Union and the United States are supporting neo-Nazi-run Ukraine — without paying any attention (at all) to the 14,000 Russian-heritage people, whom those Azov Battalion types killed in eastern Ukraine — before the Russian invasion.
Western oligarchs — including some very prominent you-know-whos in the United States — made a probably criminal bundle in Ukraine and are now trying to cover their tracks.
Consider also — with regard to the West's motivation for continuing to fuel the Russo-Ukrainian War that it had provoked in Ukraine — the allegedly some 30 (or so) bioweapons labs, which the United States funded there.
Embarrassing, if the probably pandemic-deadly contents of those were to surface in public.
The West's criminality-based character also explains why the European Union is trying to 'rule-of-law' sanction Hungary — essentially for having reelected its neutrality-supporting populist president, Viktor Orbán.
The semantic irony (to this proposed theft of Hungarian EU money) is that the European Union accuses Hungary of having violated the 'rule of law'. Essentially, for having engaged in a democratic election that resulted in an outcome that rich Western Elites objected to.
For an explanation of how this EU-sponsored thievery will work, see:

If Western Elites like it, it is legal.
If they don't, it is not.
The moral? — Psychopathic criminals lead the West
Should we be proud?
Either way and anatomically speaking, one wonders whether populations of propagandized sheep can pull their wooly heads out of their flock-corralled asses.
I doubt it.
Nitwittedly hating other people — on the basis of no facts, concealed facts, or made-up facts — is too much fun.
