Smack-talking US continues to embarrass itself — now insulting China, in addition to Russia, just two days before

This is, really, how major wars eventually begin

One cannot repeatedly attack and insult powerful hegemons and expect that nothing explosive eventually will happen.

We have become like the strutting bully. Just before one of the little guys lands a two-by-four against his stupid skull.

Consider, in illustration, the following.

We'll invite you to our country . . .

. . . and then we'll immediately talk 'shit' to your face?

Two days after Joe Dementia Biden idiotically (and dangerously) referenced Russian president Putin as a "killer" — US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken decided to publicly slap America's Chinese diplomatic guests around.

Evidently, just because atrociously bad American manners indicate that he can.

Provocatively, in front of television cameras, Blinken announced that:

“We will ... discuss our deep concerns with actions by China, including in Xinjiang, Hong Kong, Taiwan, cyber attacks on the United States, economic coercion of our allies,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told his Chinese counterparts in a highly unusual extended back-and-forth in front of cameras.

“Each of these actions threaten the rules-based order that maintains global stability,” he said.

Yeah right. Come over to our house for dinner, and we'll let you know what a piece of shit you are.

Constructive correction and bridge-building are completely absent from that scenario.

Naturally, the Chinese delegation responded in kind

Thus:

China’s top diplomat Yang Jiechi responded with a 15-minute speech in Chinese while the U.S. side awaited translation, lashing out over what he said was the United States’ struggling democracy, poor treatment of minorities, and criticizing its foreign and trade policies.

“The United States uses its military force and financial hegemony to carry out long-arm jurisdiction and suppress other countries,” said Yang.

“It abuses so-called notions of national security to obstruct normal trade exchanges, and incite some countries to attack China,” he added.

What's the core take-away?

After centuries of Western and Japanese-delivered humiliation, Modern Beijing is not going to put up with culture-debasing trash-talk from a bunch of:

obviously effete

continually war-losing

(yet nevertheless perennially warmongering)

trade-deficit-running

always conniving

nonstop propaganda-spewing

perpetually resource-stealing

people-oppressing

white-versus-brown imperialist

overfed-to-fat

American leadership parasites.

Or something pretty close to that.

I'm not exaggerating

Historically knowledgeable folks will recognize the kind of fury that Blinken's words will have evoked in the United States' Chinese guests.

A smart strategist does not arouse alleged adversaries into coldly calculating, existence-protecting, culture-based rage.

That's a prescription for the slicing payback that undoubtedly will follow. Only Absolute Fools do this.

In my view, the United States is — and has been — led by arrogantly nihilistic imbeciles, intent on fostering widespread destruction for self-profit.

In a sense, we are witnessing the creation of a 'penalty for rampaging national hubris' Biblical parable.

A pertinent and culturally indicative aside

As usual, most of the American corporate-owned Lamestream covered for the United States' Adam Henry behavior by failing to clearly say who started this "bickering" exchange between the two nations.

The US did. And the press should have clearly said so. Time, to its credit, got the order of exchanged provocations correct.

That most of the Lamestream obfuscated the 'who did what to whom and when' issue — reveals how corporate media have become a propaganda arm for the American Deep State and its sponsoring Military Industrial Complex.

Let's use some common sense

If a fight erupts on a school playground, aren't the intervening teachers' first words always — "Who started this?"

Of course they are.

Who starts the fight always matters — where dispensing accountability and justice are concerned.

The moral? — American Arrogance is going to provoke other nations into slapping us down

A whole lot of folk are likely to die.

As usual, American Fat Cats will skate.

That's one definition of Raw Evil.

My father — a World War II (European theater) veteran and subsequent American diplomat — would be appalled at the self-destructive, intentionally undertaken and out-of-control depravity to which our nation has let itself sink.

Continually poking other people in the eye is not a recipe for peace and human advancement.
