The Republican Party won’t even look at clearly the best among its 2012 presidential candidates
Communications consultant James Moore said of former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman:
Jon Huntsman is too sane, considerate, well informed, capable on the issues, rational, analytical, thoughtful, and Mormon to have a chance within his chosen political party.

“But Pete, we’re used to the best people being passed over in politics, aren’t we?”
Not when they’re competing with trashcan rabble.
Mr. Lincoln’s Party has become an exquisitely depressing manifestation of:
unadulterated hypocrisy;
mind-blowing ignorance;
blatant racial, cultural, sexual, and religious bigotry;
unfathomable stupidity;
and
doubly-blind fanaticism.
Democrats look good only in comparison. Which is like saying dog mess looks and smells good compared to upchuck.
The moral? — We Americans should seriously consider what we’re doing to our future by letting a minority of egotistically stupid fools captain our ship
With a so clearly failed leader as President Obama in office, one has to wonder about the aptitude of the opposing political party that can’t even select a decent candidate to un-perch him.
The only bright side is that, thanks to Jon Stewart and his comedic kin, at least we can laugh our way to our democracy’s increasingly likely discombobulation.
James Moore’s “GOP clown car” is good only for the humor delivered from its apparently endless idiocy. For that, perhaps, we will have to settle.
