The FBI — of anti-Trump Russiagate fame . . .

 

. . . is apparently at it again.

 

At least so, with regard to its news timing:

 

 

Thirteen members of an anti-government group bent on igniting a civil war are charged in a plot to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who the group targeted in a possible commando raid on the state capitol, according to newly unsealed court records.

 

Authorities said Thursday that the Wolverine Watchmen group planned on storming either the capitol or Whitmer's vacation home as part of a broader mission to instigate a civil war.

 

The FBI and Michigan's attorney general outlined felony domestic terrorism charges against the group's organizers, who planned on hurling molotov cocktails at any police officers who tried to stop the kidnapping, a federal affidavit said.

 

Discussions included using 200 men to "storm" the Capitol Building in Lansing, kidnap hostages including Whitmer and try the governor for treason, according to the affidavit.

 

The group met for field exercises and training this year and conducted surveillance of the governor's vacation home on at least two occasions in late August and September, the affidavit alleges.

 

The group purchased an 800,000-volt Taser and night goggles for use in the kidnapping plot, according to court records. Members of the plot said they wanted to complete the kidnapping before the election Nov. 3, according to the affidavit.

 

Whitmer decried hatred and bigotry from her Capitol office Thursday, saying that President Donald Trump is "complicit" in what happened because he has not denounced right-wing hate groups.

Mull a few aspects of this

 

Then, we'll go on to the FBI's politically suspicious timing.

 

First, these are some incredibly idiotic "terrorists". Inferably, they apparently cannot imagine snatching a hapless female — with their supposedly 200 men — without first using a Taser to subdue her.

 

And what about gathering the means to nullify everyone else around the Governor?

 

Second, the "terrorists" allegedly planned to fend off police, including presumably bullet-spewing SWAT teams, by tossing molotov cocktails in reply. It does not take a Navy SEAL, an Army Ranger — or even the average Second Amendmenter — to comprehend how poorly that would work.

 

Third, the "terrorists" reportedly planned to put Whitmer on trial, thereby giving Law Enforcement both time and significant clues to track them down.

 

Fourth, they were so dumb that they allowed multiple snitches, and perhaps even a few authentic FBI agents, into their Crew of Dopes.

 

Given such laughable levels of stupidity, does any of this conspiracy-to-kidnap group's planning sound plausibly dangerous?

 

 

Recall that the FBI knew what was going on in very early June 2020

 

So, why are the above Three Stooges-like details only being released now, less than a month before the 2020 election?

 

If you read one of the FBI affidavits involved — here — you can see that the investigation dragged on for weeks beyond what was necessary to stifle the alleged plot.

 

If the Bureau had been genuinely concerned that these fools were actually going to get away with doing genuine harm, they would have acted much sooner.

 

Could the very late timing of the FBI-originated news have something to do with wanting to embarrass President Trump — just as folks are voting or getting ready to do so?

 

Russiagate says "yes".

 

 

The moral? — The FBI lost credibility with its concocted 'Trump is Putin's Puppet' participation

 

The timing of the Bureau's latest Michigan news merely reinforces that trend. At least so, among objectively minded people.

 

In closing, I note that Republicans have managed to ruin every one of the United States' premier public health and regulatory agencies.

 

And the Deep State and Democrats have managed to ruin their federal law enforcement and national intelligence equivalents.

 

Where do we go from here?
