Paralleling (in theme) what I posted yesterday about the American Devils' Circus, Erin Galvin tweeted:

 

 

The majority of Americans aren’t politically involved, they’re politically illiterate.

 

What they believe to be politics is just propaganda, and they’re addicted to it.

 

Addicted to the division, herd-mentality, anger, and entertainment.

 

Addicted to the spectacle of it all.

 

 

The moral? — We are, at core, a nation of cognitively unreflective ignoramuses

 

Easily manipulated, we cannot be free.

 

Blind addiction to serial foolishness has its deadly price.

 

Alas.
