My thoughts exactly — Russo-Ukrainian War, the Great Satan — and Caitlin Johnstone's succinct observations

The Great Satan wants the Russo-Ukrainian War to continue

The more bodies, the better.

From Dave DeCamp:

On Monday, the State Department signaled that the US is discouraging Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from making concessions to Russia in negotiations that are aimed at ending the fighting in Ukraine.

State Department spokesman Ned Price said . . . . said that the war is “bigger” than Russia and Ukraine.

“The key point is that there are principles that are at stake here that have universal applicability everywhere,” he said.

Putin was trying to violate “core principles,” including “the principle that each and every country has a sovereign right to determine its own foreign policy . . . ."

Instead of pushing Zelensky to declare neutrality, the US continues to arm Ukraine.

Last week, President Biden announced a new $800 million weapons package for Ukraine, which includes shoulder-fired anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles and armed drones.

The US is also leading a Western sanctions campaign against Russia that Psaki and Price said helps Ukraine’s leverage in the talks with Russia.

In short

American policy continues to fuel the same chaos that it had started on purpose.

We will (by golly!) proxy-kill every Ukrainian and Russian that we can. Of course, without suffering any blood losses ourselves.

This is the American way.

How noble. Our alleged 'principles' and your deaths.

To (additional) wit . . .

The Biden Administration has also decided that killing still more Yemeni babies (and their parents) — also all by proxy — is a good idea:

The US-backed war on Yemen started seven years ago this week, and after all this time US policy is practically unchanged.

The coalition bombing campaign has picked up again in recent months with 700 airstrikes in February alone, and according to the Yemen Data Project the bombing has been more intense during this period than at any point since 2018.

1,500 civilians have been killed or wounded in these attacks. Despite being far more destructive and killing many more people, including 91 people in a migrant detention center, these airstrikes have received no criticism from the US.

Instead of withholding military assistance from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as it should have done, the Biden administration has been rushing more jets, ships, and air defense interceptors to the governments that have been brutalizing the people of Yemen directly and through their armed proxies.

The US also backed a one-sided UN Security Council resolution that named the Houthis as a terrorist group while ignoring the many atrocities committed by the coalition governments and their proxies.

While the US condemns aggression in Ukraine, it continues to support it in Yemen.

The UN has warned again that famine is spreading in the country. According to their estimate, there will be 161,000 people in famine conditions this year, and that figure is five times larger than it has been in the past.

Creating bloody hells . . .

. . . intentionally and wherever we can is (we are supposed to conclude) good for America.

Of such moral magnificence . . .

Caitlin Johnstone wrote that:

We’re risking a very fast, very radioactive third world war defending the “democracy” of a regime who just banned eleven opposition parties.

Liberals explaining why it’s fine to eliminate opposition parties when they become inconvenient is just liberals telling you who they really are.

Liberals have spent five years defending the right of the powerful to keep secrets and tell lies.

Now there’s a war and they get mad if you say the powerful are keeping secrets and telling lies.

What’d you all think censorship, glorifying the CIA, persecuting Assange etc was about?

Being a “contrarian” in the face of bat shit insanity is a good thing, actually.

"Bat shit insanity"

I agree.

The moral? — The Great Satan is aptly named

Semantic respect to Iran's leadership for seeing this truth and so memorably labeling it.

At some point — now long past — guilt arguably became collective.
