When words won't do, symbols help

 

 

Our son (Ryan Shefferly) regularly challenged Zen equanimity with his exasperating blend of soul-penetrating light and simultaneously reckless irresponsibility regarding society's purportedly serious matters, including his own diabetic health.

 

He mischievously danced out of life early (at age 35), having sprinkled a genius for memorable charm and obvious talent wherever he went. Combination Irish leprechaun and (spirit animal) crow was what he had wanted to become. He succeeded.

 

Now we bear his unbearable absence.

 

Love you always, Ryan. Always.
