The implementation of organized human morality amuses me

Because there is so little of it.

Take Israel:

Documents published this week shows a legal representative of the Israeli government audaciously claiming that Israel can “legislate anywhere in the world,” that it is “entitled to violate the sovereignty of foreign countries,” and that it “is allowed to ignore the directives of international law in any field it desires”.

The bold declaration was made in legal materials recently submitted to the Israeli Supreme Court in which the government representative said that the Knesset is allowed to ignore international law anywhere it desires.

These remarks were made last month in a written response the government filed to the Israeli Supreme Court relating to the petition against the Settlement Regularisation Law filed by Palestinian legal groups . . . .

The moral? — This Israeli stunt is so unhelpful to the cause of Peace on Earth that it sounds 100 percent American

Indeed, in the case of Israel and the United States — it is challenging to figure out who the head and tail are. They seem to wag each other. Which, given the metaphor, probably means that neither has a functioning brain.

Eventually, both nations will be gone. Leaving in their historical wakes, ethically repulsive examples of these and other "freedoms".

No "shining city upon a hill" for us. Either now, or in History's ever-accumulating memory.
