Killing Syrians and stealing their goodies — that's us

What is contemptible about the United States . . .
. . . is the entirety of its malevolent, lying leadership.
In that vein, you may have missed that the United States is again killing more or less innocent Syrians on behalf of the Great American Oligarchy.
Aaron Maté pointed out that:
US claims to be in Syria to fight ISIS, but it rarely fights ISIS.
It's actually there to deny Syria its own oil and wheat, and to occasionally attack Syrians and their allies who defeated US-backed sectarian death squads in the dirty war.
And Caitlin Johnstone highlighted the following:
[W]hat’s crystal clear is who the aggressor is.
The US is an occupying force who is there without the permission of the Syrian government, without having been attacked by Syria, and without any valid claim to be defending itself from anyone in Syria.
The “Iran-backed” militias in Syria are operating with the full authorization of the Syrian government.
The US has quite literally invaded a nation on the other side of the world, killed the people in that nation who don’t want them there, and then claimed self-defense in doing so.
If I broke into my neighbor’s house to steal his things, and then murdered him when he tried to stop me or make me leave, it would look pretty ridiculous if I tried to plead self-defense.
It would look even more ridiculous if anyone believed me.

Addicted to murdering pillage?
Contemplate the following.
We created the Nazi tide in Ukraine, on purpose, beginning immediately after World War 2.
Then, we 'couped' those guys into Ukrainian power in 2014.
And afterward, encouraged this Hitler-Bandera Band to kill Russian-heritage folks in the Donbas. Thus, eight years later, successfully instigating the current Russo-Ukrainian War.
And now, we have escalated from the near past's covert pestilence to overtly supporting those same Ukro-Nazis with billions of dollars, piles of weapons and, most probably, military intelligence and direction.
Admirable.
Makes you want to put on your Hitler suit and begin yelling about seizing Lebensraum from the Untermenschen. (They're everywhere, you know.)
The moral? — US officialdom not only loves Nazis . . .
. . . it is addicted to acting like them, wherever we go.
That said, I do have to give American neocons credit.
They have completely and unshyly eradicated the so-called American experiment, as well as its hypocritically held idea that we are the Good Guys.
Is this progress — or an Interstate arterial to hell?
