How does it feel to live in a country controlled by idiots?

Take Scott Bessent, for example
Here is what that Trump sycophant said after Trump's South Korea meeting with Xi Jinping:
US Treasury secretary Scott Bessent says Beijing “made a real mistake” by threatening to curb rare earth exports, according to a new report from Financial Times.
Bessent told Financial Times in a new interview that the US will secure alternative supplies within “12 to 24 months” and also said of China's threat: “China has alerted everyone to the danger. They’ve made a real mistake. It’s one thing to put the gun on the table. It’s another thing to fire shots in the air.”
Bessent spoke after Donald Trump and Xi Jinping met in South Korea, saying the two leaders had found an “equilibrium” in their trade relationship. Despite recent disruptions triggered by China’s rare earths controls, he believes Beijing can no longer use these minerals as leverage: “I don’t think they’re able to do it now because we have offsetting measures.”
FT writes that the summit followed months of heightened tariffs and retaliatory export restrictions. According to Bessent, Chinese officials were “slightly alarmed by the global backlash” to their latest measures. He said his talks with vice-premier He Lifeng helped preserve a one-year truce: “ceteris paribus, we have reached an equilibrium”.

The only thing Bessent demonstrated with his silly assessment of the rare earths situation is that he — the Secretary of the Treasury — does not understand how long it will take to bring the United States' mining, refining and manufacturing potential back up to a point of rare earths independence.
His propagandizing optimism in this regard exactly parallels American claims that Russia is losing the Ukraine conflict that the United States started. As well as similar assessments which maintain that the United States can win a nuclear war.
Every day
Some high-ranking fool in American government — especially well illustrated by the President himself — says or does something so strategically clueless that one wonders whether anyone on our side of the water remains compos mentis.
We are led by a group of genocidally inclined, constantly blowharding dopes. Who are mainly characterized by their addictions to a variety of the deadly sins. Strategic intelligence and self-discipline being nowhere to be found in that putrescent mix.
The moral? — There was a time when American leadership did considerably better
Now, we have become a playground for psychotic airheads and their viciously demonstrated US-harming stupidity.
