This steam mop works well

Haan’s (made in Korea) Slim & Light (model SL-35) floor sanitizing steam mop has fifteen steam holes in its base.  The arrangement properly distributes steam, unlike the single holes of much of the competition.

The overall unit is reasonably well built.  And it works well for wet cleaning tile and hardwood floors.

The mop comes with two velcro floor cleaning pads.  Simply stick the pad to the plastic velcro-receiving hooks on the base of the machine.  Turn the Slim & Light on.  Wait a half minute or so for steam, and begin mopping.

Once the velcro pad is dirty, throw it in the washing machine (without fabric softener) and air dry.

The Slim & Light also comes with a rubber pad for the mop to sit on while steaming but not in use.  This pad protects the floor from heat buildup.

Some people might criticize —

The Haan’s water bottle is comparatively small, and serves only for about two rooms before a refill is necessary.  At refill time, it drips one or two large drops of water, when removing it from the mop.

The machine’s cord is not particularly long.  A very large room will have you changing from one electrical outlet to another.  On the other hand, this means there is less cord to constantly get in the operator’s way.

The rubber protective pad has to be carried separately, as one moves from room to room.

Actual “sanitation” takes about twenty seconds in each spot.  Trying to sanitize a whole floor would take seemingly forever.

Recommended, without reservations

This is a nicely crafted steam mop.  It works well.

The Slim & Light is one of the very few products that I have bought in recent years that does what it is supposed to, without any issues.
