Are Americans living in a South Park cartoon?

Historical perspective
In May 2020, the United States is synopsized by a monarchically reigning narcissistic Toddler as President — and his senile, and equally morally reprehensible — presumed November opponent — campaigning from a home basement.
I suspect that my talk of 1776 and 1789 action and ideals falls on the ears of mostly unmotivated American Ignorami.
We might as well be living in a South Park cartoon.
Or North Korea.
Think 'Founders'
I imagine that our nation's Founders would not be able to conceive of such a Hell-bound transition from their deservedly admired ability to American Modernity's complete lack of it.
The moral? — Polish off your dark humor skills — you're going to need them . . .
. . . as the United States blows itself up with mentally and morally vacuous abandon.
I am certain that we will be told to blame the Russians and Chinese for our propensity for vigorous self-destruction.
That's the indicatively sad part:
A nation of responsibility-avoiding Other-blamers led by a Toddler.
With a demented quasi-rapist, war-lover waiting for his transition to Power in some innocuous basement's wannabe wings.
Gee-Zus.
The figurative Devil himself could not come up with a more cogently accurate metaphor for where the United States is today.
