Russia continues to lean toward surrendering to the West — now, it has reversed its no negotiations with 'illegal' Zelensky stance

Is today's Russia an embarrassment to its past?
One can tell when a purported adversary (like Russia) is led by self-destructive dumbasses.
It appears that America's predatory neocons are not always wrong.
Consider Russia's continual caving in . . .
. . . to the West's control ploys.
In addition to previously announcing a 72 hour Victory Day truce — just when the Kursk was finally cleared of its Ukro-Nazi invaders — the Putin Gang now thinks that it should further that display of mental weakness even more explicitly:
The issue of whether Vladimir Zelensky is the legitimate ruler of Ukraine remains a secondary concern for Russia, which is more interested in resuming direct negotiations with Kiev, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.
Since the presidential term of the Ukrainian leader officially expired last May without a vote, Moscow has questioned his legitimacy. Zelensky has extended martial law every three months since the escalation of the conflict in February 2022, preventing the country from going to the polls.
When asked about who Russia would consider holding direct negotiations with, given Zelensky’s status, Peskov admitted that while there are certain legal issues related to his legitimacy, “the interests of entering the peaceful settlement process are above all else.”
“The primary thing is to begin this negotiation process,” the spokesman said, adding that all other questions are “secondary.”
At the same time, Peskov noted the day before that Kiev has not shown any signs that it is actually ready to negotiate, particularly as Zelensky has yet to lift the legal ban on holding direct talks with Moscow for as long as Russian President Vladimir Putin remains in office.
It is also unclear how Ukraine will respond to Putin’s latest 72-hour Victory Day ceasefire announcement, the Kremlin spokesman said on Tuesday, stressing that Moscow has not yet heard a concrete reaction from Kiev to the Russian President’s “gesture of goodwill.”
“It is difficult to understand whether the Kiev regime is going to join this or not,” Peskov said.

Evaluate the Russian Federation's curiously blind logic
Legally speaking, an agreement made with an illegitimate West-puppeted Nazi leader has no value.
Ukraine's president Zelensky cancelled elections some ago. He has stayed in power far beyond his presidential term.
Yet, the Putin Gang now vapidly states that it will reverse its previously legally sensible refusal to negotiate with the murderous nitwit.
And just as vacuously, the same 'retarded' Russian thinking holds with regard to negotiating with the Ukro-Nazi-supporting United States.
Russian leadership apparently thinks that it can come to an agreement — on American terms and in an American way — with the same nation that has three to four times (directly and indirectly) torn up understandings that would have ended the Ukraine War — a war which the United States (not Russia) started.
What, in this Russian recipe for capitulation, makes any geostrategic sense?
Is the Russian Federation trying to demonstrate that American neocons are correct and Russia is weak, stupid and ready to crumble with just enough of a push?
Keep in mind that . . .
. . . just after the Kremlin reversed its not-talking-to Zelensky policy, this happened:
Last night, air defense forces shot down 34 Ukrainian UAVs over Russia, the Defense Ministry reported.
15 drones were intercepted over Kursk Oblast: as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack, three people were injured, a kindergarten, three apartment buildings, and one private home were damaged. Another eight drones were destroyed over Bryansk Oblast, seven over Oryol Oblast, three over Vladimir Oblast, and one over Belgorod Oblast.

The moral? — Russia is, we can reasonably deduce, led by West-propagandized fools
Anyone with geopolitical survival sense — who lives inside the Russian Federation — should favor removing Putin from power in favor of someone who displays both common sense and spine.
Admittedly, such a house-cleaning seems unlikely to happen. Given that the Russian population appears to be just as preponderantly quiescent and easily manipulated as its American counterpart.
Stupidity, sadly, is humanity's most shared defining characteristic.
If gazelles in lion country were as dumb as we humans tend to be, they would be extinct.
