Ralph Nader, regarding We the People's mental and moral sloth

Impatient with fools?
Does it take a 92 year old to say what is true in the United States?
[Ralph Nader is] once again calling for a revolution in a Democratic party that still wants nothing to do with him.
“The best thing that could happen for the Democrats is for [Senator Chuck] Schumer and [Hakeem] Jeffries to be voted out in January,” Nader told the Guardian during one of several long phone calls, speaking of the Democratic leaders in both houses of Congress.
If Democrats win next week, they need to be bold to fix the country, Nader said: prosecute corruption, restore the federal agencies that have been destroyed, and really change things for the working class. He doubts Schumer and Jeffries will do it.
“The Democrats are scapegoaters on steroids,” he said.
“They never look at themselves in the mirror and say ‘How can we not have landslided this bumbling governor from Texas with a horrible record who couldn’t string three sentences together?’” he said, referring to Bush.
They did it again in 2016, he added, when Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton.
“Imagine blaming Jill Stein, who got a few votes in Pennsylvania,” he added, speaking of the Green party candidate who got 1% of the vote, running on a $15 minimum wage and guaranteed healthcare.
“What if you picked up her agenda? You would have won in a landslide, you idiots.”
Nader has some more uncomfortable predictions. “Someone asked me decades ago, ‘What’s going to cause the end of the world?’
And my answer was science and technology in the hands of giant corporations and dictatorships’” Nader said. “We’re right on track.”
“It’s still ‘We the people’ in the constitution. It’s not ‘We the Congress’ or ‘We the Corporation,’” Nader said.
All we need is “the people to just get off their ass”.

Moral clarity and political activism . . .
. . . (in defense of Liberty and economic wellbeing) are apparently beyond the American public's ability.
Consider, in partial evidence . . .
. . . the following typically American single issue reasoning from Gun Owners of America:
In November 2024, gun owners elected a president who promised to restore the Second Amendment and ushered in the most pro-gun Congress in modern history.
Two years later, the results are not in dispute. No president in American history has done more to restore lost Second Amendment rights than Donald J. Trump. And no Congress has restored more Second Amendment rights than the 119th.
So remember: the Second Amendment is on the ballot.
GOA urges every gun owner who cares about their right to keep and bear arms, and every gun activist who wants to help GOA continue restoring Second Amendment rights in Washington, D.C. over the next two years, to get out and vote this November.

In short
Gun Owners of America tacitly approves the American-sponsored genocide in the Middle East. As well as the similarly Zionist-led destruction of American moral and economic structure.
Tolerating both of those national disasters, just because The Grand American Oligarchy continues to let us caress our Second Amendment firearms.
Culturally representative
The Second Amendment faction in the United States is one that everyone else knows — by now — is too complacently vacuous to rebel in an actual defense against US government tyranny.
America's innumerable other factions also care not at all about our overall society's wellbeing.
And thus . . .
The American Oligarchy's billionaire-led divide and conquer strategy continues to control an American public.
We have been, and continue to be, too lackadaisically 'insouciant' (Paul Craig Roberts' word) and morally obtuse to recognize what is going on.
Exasperation, like Ralph Nader's, is justified
The Founders' doubts about the Republic-preserving vigilance of the American public have proven accurate.
"A republic, if you can keep it."
The moral? — Genetically sheepy natures . . .
. . . are easily manipulated, controlled and corralled by their predatory masters.
Fleecing and mutton — here occurring in parable-like American cultural form — become appropriate destinies.
So, no whining and baaing.
A shared lack of critical thinking — and vigilant action thereon — have earned our enserfed futures.
