American hypocrisy is so massive that — one just has to laugh

I estimate that a majority of American national leadership are "wannabe" life expungers at heart:

Lawmakers approved Haspel’s nomination 54 to 45, with six Democrats voting yes and two Republicans voting no, after the agency launched an unprecedented public relations campaign to bolster Haspel’s chances.

She appears to have been helped, too, by some last-minute arm-twisting by former CIA directors [torture approver] John Brennan and [apparently closet torture approver] Leon Panetta, who contacted at least five of the six Democrats to endorse her bid to join President Trump’s Cabinet . . . .

The moral? — the United States has zero claim to moral leadership (about anything)

Tally up just a few of many recent examples:

we have just elevated the equivalent of a torture Nazi to head Central Intelligence

appointed a variety of slobbering warmongers to key security positions

actively assisted terror-promoting Saudi Arabia to murder, starve, sicken and "dehome" tens of thousands of people in Yemen — for no remotely defensible reason related to protecting vital American interests, there or anywhere else

supported Zionist Israel in its implicitly intentional, trickling, land-clearing genocide in Palestinian lands

and

— (proving the historical rule about the fascist-supporting nature of American "military training and guidance" pretty much everywhere that it takes place) —

assisted the Honduran security apparatus in its suppression and evidently occasional killing of protesting environmentalists.

By golly, we are exceptional!

What would we do without the Lord's blessed guidance in these and similar (cowardly and avaricious) matters?
