US Coast Guard is now in the Black Sea — antagonizing Russians — yay?

It doesn't get anymore 'mission creepish' than this

If you could use an outstanding example of the lack of discriminating brain that underlies the United States' imperialistic goals — it is this one:

The Legend-class national security cutter USCGC [United States Coast Guard Cutter] Hamilton . . . transited into the Black Sea in support of NATO Allies and partners, April 27, 2021.

This patrol comes after Hamilton conducted logistics visits to Naples, Italy and Rota, Spain.

The U.S. Coast Guard is conducting a routine deployment in U.S. Sixth Fleet, working alongside Allies, building maritime domain awareness, and sharing best practices with partner nation navies and coast guards.

Notice . . .

. . . the word "transited".

That's a euphemism for us going some place that is way far from where we are supposed to be. Preferably doing something that is nowhere on our Coast Guard list of law enforcement duties.

"Building maritime domain awareness" is a polite way of saying that — "Everything yours, is ours".

"Sharing best practices" means that we Americans are serious about being efficient looters and pillagers. We practice a lot and are proud of it.

And "partner nation navies and coast guards" means that our gang is bigger than yours. Test us.

The moral? — Naturally, when the planet is ours . . .

. . . everything will be American coastline. We'll be able to go anywhere without, presumably, defying common sense names and functions.

Of course, if the Russians get serious, the Hamilton will go down in seconds. And its crew will merely be a list of sadly recorded names on a wall somewhere in US Rah-Rah Land.

American military leadership has de-evolved past the point of being able to slap it back into exhibiting basic common sense.

When we finally get checked, it is going to be painful.
