Genius-souled Caitlin Johnstone — just put a foot up American leadership's hypocritical posterior

I anoint her "Cassandra" Caitlin Johnstone — Australian goddess for truth

Looking at my country's leadership, I often marvel at its duplicitous, grant-no-quarter evildoing.

Such insight, of course, is not widely shared across America's warmongering expanse between two oceans.

Thus, I am often appreciative that a far-away Australian woman has risen to "alternative media" relevance — with her consistently striking wisdom, regarding US leadership's devil-oriented position in the world.

For example

Johnstone today published a spearing appraisal of the United States' demonesque twistedness:

[W]e learn that Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has put a bunch of US military operations on hold, not because those military operations are depraved acts of mass murder driven by the megalomaniacal agenda to dominate the entire world, but to hold “needed discussions” about the possibility that there may now be “extremists” among their ranks.

“Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has ordered a staggered pause of operations across the entire US military so commanders can have ‘needed discussions’ with service members about the issue of extremism over the next 60 days,” CNN reports.

“The issue of extremism in the military has been at the forefront since the January 6 riot at the US Capitol. At least 22 people either formerly or currently associated with the military were charged in connection with the riot.”

That’s right, the US military has for decades been merrily incinerating entire families, ripping apart children with cluster munitions, and destroying whole nations for disobeying US imperial dictates, but now they need to pause some of that normal, wholesome activity because a few bad apples might perhaps have succumbed to extremism.

Devastating Iraq, turning Libya into a failed state, facilitating genocide in Yemen, waging an endlessly expanding ‘war on terror’ and brandishing armageddon weapons at your enemies?

That’s fine and normal.

[But]

Members of the military joining hate groups and believing in QAnon?

That’s extremism.

In inadvertent illustration of Johnstone's points

President Biden, yesterday, delivered a hypocrisy-oozing "America's Place in the World" speech.

The talk criticized China and Russia for doing provocatively bad things to us and the world.

His words here extracted — with my comments in bracketed italics:

[W]e must start with diplomacy rooted in America’s most cherished democratic values: defending freedom, championing opportunity, upholding universal rights, respecting the rule of law, and treating every person with dignity.

[Saying all that with a straight face would have been challenging for an honest person.]

I made it clear to President Putin, in a manner very different from my predecessor, that the days of the United States rolling over in the face of Russia’s aggressive actions — interfering with our elections, cyberattacks, poisoning its citizens — are over.

[You know, all the imaginary Russia-originated stuff that mostly never happened.]

We will not hesitate to raise the cost on Russia and defend our vital interests and our people.

The politically motivated jailing of Alexei Navalny and the Russian efforts to suppress freedom of expression and peaceful assembly are a matter of deep concern to us and the international community.

[This especially so, while we are suppressing freedom of speech and assembly in our own country.

To wit — National Guard troops occupying the American Capitol — Big Tech deplatforming anyone with an opinion that runs counter to Establishment propaganda — and wit-lacking Elites foisting repressive Cancel Culture on all manner of places.]

We’ll confront China’s economic abuses; counter its aggressive, coercive action; to push back on China’s attack on human rights, intellectual property, and global governance.

["Global governance", you may note, that the United States itself ignores, whenever it does not like the outcome.

There's also the added hypocrisy indicated by a nation — that has (by far) the highest globally comparative proportion of its population behind bars — critiquing another for its alleged "attack on human rights".]

I can imagine what . . .

. . . Russians and Chinese thought of Biden's holier-than-thou drivel.

Biden's drool coming from a militarized behemoth that, for decades, has caused more insidious and murdering instability across the planet than any other.

Caitlin Johnstone's accurate insight — targeting such characteristically "American" hypocrisy — may bring a smile to their metaphorical faces.

The moral? — Perceiving truth is a radical act . . .

. . . when almost everyone is hallucinating on Propaganda's do-this-evil flow.

The United States is a walking Biblical parable. Not in a good way.

Though I doubt that the planet's imaginary system of godly justice will punish any of the miscreants for their vicious transgressions.

Decent humanity is failed, again, by inadequate justice and retribution from any source.
