Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's airheaded ridiculousness was on full display at the Met Gala — a metaphor

What with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and . . .

 

. . . her similarly-minded (cancel culture, snowflake, addled idiots) 'progressive' ilk — as well as our dementia-weighted President at the American helm — we're in good shape, aren't we?

 

 

The AOC metaphor

 

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is consistently so self-centeredly Enthusiastically Stupid, that she cannot seem to step back far enough to examine the optics of what she is about to do or say.

 

Somewhat like our nation. No matter which prominent political prong we are riding.

Regarding AOC's appearance at yesterday's Met Gala, Piers Morgan said:

 

 

Where do I even start with this towering monument to hilarious hypocrisy and horrifically hideous 'haute couture'?

 

Well, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (left) seems a good place for an opening salvo.

 

The socialist Congresswoman has spent the past few years lecturing the entire world on the planet-ending evils of materialistic, vacuous, obscenely ostentatious capitalism.

 

Yet here she was prancing about on the red carpet at the most materialistic, vacuous, obscenely ostentatious example of capitalism imaginable - surrounded by hundreds of the wealthiest and most privileged people in American society.

 

Tickets for the Met Gala cost $35,000 a head, enough to feed three average American families of four for a year according to the United States Department of Agriculture.

 

Ocasio-Cortez believed it was her 'responsibility' to attend this ludicrously pointless celebration of totally unnecessary and often cringe-worthy extravagance.

 

In a comical effort to fend off her critics, she wore a white dress with the words 'Tax the rich' sprawled across in it in red lettering.

 

Unfortunately for her, the only conversation about the Met Gala today is what a flaming hypocrite she is.

"Prancing" is a good choice of words

 

AOC reminds me of an empty-skulled sister, whom one is fond of — but who continues to astound (most of us) with her flaming inability to conjure up the slightest traces of thoughtfully applied Reason.

 

It is as if her intelligence was badly distorted in squeezing through the wormhole from (presumably) whence she was squirted, so as to ornament our time.

 

 

The moral? — America is so diseased . . .

 

. . . that we are enthusiastically electing a variety of (flamingly obvious) mental and moral cancers to lead the nation.

 

Words fail. Which may be the best indicator of the depth of Plummeting Predicament that we have put ourselves in.

 

I guess the best remedy now, is to cultivate our combined abilities to enjoy the Drowning Process.

 

Perhaps we could elect some especially stout swimmer to hold the Last Flag up above the waves, during our perishing slide beneath them.

 

Blatant absurdity should put smiles on our air-starved faces.
