The more techish we become — the more gizmos we need for backup
Two weeks ago, my computer’s internal drive died.
Predictably, one of its two external drives would not boot on another computer. And the contents of the second one merely demonstrated how incomplete my duplication had been. I cannot even find a crucial folder that I remember copying just two months ago.
Yikes, what a dumbass.
My next backup management system is going to take me out of the process
Network attached storage (NAS). Solid state drives.
The Cloud‘s programmable electron mind.
Maybe that’s how our species will end
Voluntarily surrendering its erratic brain to AI’s better system.
That’s a joke. But maybe not.
