Living in a fantasy world — a metaphor from Baltimore County

Quality in American governance

Lillian Reed, writing for the Baltimore Sun, published the fact that Baltimore County (Maryland) stopped recycling glass in 2013.

Yet, the County's website continues to encourage residents to put glass into their recycle bins.

To prove this, Reed's article links to the County website's "Residential Recycling Collection Information".

Sure enough, when I visited today (04 February 2020), the County website continues to list glass as recyclable.

I guess the employee position for updating the obsolete has been vacant for 7 years.

Or maybe there's just a braindead "Identity Someone" sitting at a scavenged child's desk next to the basement furnace. One can roll, almost ad infinitum, through a list of liberal-bashing hypotheses.

The moral? — Manufacturing illusion as a basis for Rabble control?

Reality is — we can metaphorically infer — too complicated for Government and Public to deal with.
