National Forests in California have been closed to public use — think about the ironies

If you go into a National Forest in California and are caught . . .

. . . you will have to pay up to a $5,000 fine for enjoying public land against American Brown Shirts' orders:

All of California's national forests will be closed beginning late Tuesday.

The closures will go into effect at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday and stay in place until the same time on Sept. 17, according to an announcement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service's Pacific Southwest Region.

"We do not take this decision lightly, but this is the best choice for public safety," said Regional Forester Jennifer Eberlien. "It is especially hard with the approaching Labor Day weekend, when so many people enjoy our national forests."

Officials said they hope to reduce the number of people visiting national forests to prevent anyone from being trapped during an emergency such as a wildfire.

Having fewer people on national forest lands also decreases the likelihood of new fires starting and will help keep firefighters and the community safer by limiting possible COVID-19 exposure, officials said.

This allegedly is (like COVID lockdowns) for our own good

Firefighters', too.

And blessedly also, in that same USDA swoop:

'communities' of folks

who are apparently living in those National Forests

(over which Jennifer Eberlien has authority)

will be spared (she says)

the risk of catching COVID

from the Great American Rabble

who will be

(she leads us to presume)

scurrying around between trees

while lighting fires

and

spreading SARS-CoV-2

(all of the above, evidently, just for spite).

Having read God's mind . . .

. . . Jennifer Eberlien also knows that the fire danger will miraculously disappear on 17 September.

And thus, the risk of a human-set conflagration burning the 'shit' out of thousands and thousands of other forest-visiting folks will have magically evaporated.

It is all part of the Deity's Plan, you see.

The USDA knows this.

A couple of other points

First, the most major portion of the wildfire problem in California is directly attributable to the Forest Service's poor past land-management practices.

And now, presumably on the basis that the American Public must pay for the Forest Service's past and ongoing incompetence, the USDA is barring us from enjoying our own Public Lands.

If that seems unfair (and even backwards) to you, it should. It represents, again, the typical Federal evasion of responsibility for anything.

Second, the Forest Service's closing order insultingly presumes that the Great American Rabble is too stupid not to start fires in the nation's dry forests.

This is ironic in that, in California, the major fires burning now — and most (but not all) of those that record-burned last year — were started by lightning, PG&E or (rarely) intentionally set fire-control burns.

In other words, California's public was not responsible for the Golden State's ongoing Charcoal Melee.

Yet as of today — evidently because it is so much fun for Government Bureaucrats to emulate Stalin, Mao and Adolf:

Labor Day holidayers

will not get to celebrate

the associated joy of not having died from COVID

(during California's interminable lockdowns)

by presently traipsing off into Californians' woods.

The moral? — Power goes to Bureaucrats' heads

Supposedly 'emergency' circumstances become a free-for-all for these (mostly) fools to do whatever they dictatorially want.

It never seems to occur to Government's too many Mussolini Ilk that they exist to serve the American public and not to own it.

Resist. Unless you want to become an anthill person.
