I doubt that the Republican Party has a monopoly on Stupidity Incarnate
The United States' whole political culture drowns in that sea.
Perspective correction is necessary because
If we run around assuming that the "Other" harbors all badness, we fail to see the similarly massive inklings in ourselves. Which means that we stay permanently upon Ignorance's quixotic hamster wheel.
The moral? — We could not have created the mess (that is today's United States) without help
Certainly, the Republican Party is the metaphorical Anti-Christ. But its Democratic Party political foil is Lucifer's camouflaged twin.
This totality says something about the United States' allegedly human condition. If Hope is to kindle, a large group of us is going to have to wake up.
Awakening would require recognizing Plutocracy's matador-like cape — as Paul Street ably explains, here.
It turns out that we are the cleverly manipulated morons, not them. Awakening begins with oneself.
Pointing the finger can be valuable. Just accurately recognize who owns it.
