John Brennan casually smeared the Trump Administration— without providing any evidence — yet no eyebrows were raised at his arguably dishonorable grandstanding

Keep in mind that former CIA Director John Brennan worked for President Obama

Brennan, a master of duplicitous-seeming gravitas, appeared before Congress's House Intelligence Committee to smear President Trump with speculation about the Administration's supposed ties to Russia.

There was not a whisper of actual evidence in anything Brennan said.

No one influential bothered to question whether such intentionally speculative (but supposedly authoritative) meanderings had any business being elicited, spoken or disseminated in a public setting.

Evidently, the admittedly buffoon and id-like President Trump deserves not even the most minimal, figuratively unslandered respect that his legitimately elected Office should automatically carry with it:

“I encountered and am aware of information and intelligence that revealed contacts and interactions between Russian officials and US persons involved in the Trump campaign that I was concerned about because of known Russian efforts to suborn such individuals,” Brennan said.

“And it raised questions in my mind again whether or not the Russians were able to gain the cooperation of those individuals.”

Asked repeatedly whether he had seen evidence of collusion, he stressed that the CIA’s business was intelligence rather than evidence and he could not make that judgment. But he said all intelligence on contacts was passed to the FBI.

Brennan said by the time he left the CIA in January this year: “I had unresolved questions in my mind as to whether or not the Russians had been successful in getting US persons involved in the campaign or not to work on their behalf, again, either in a witting or unwitting fashion.”

The New York Times reported that:

“It should be clear to everyone that Russia brazenly interfered in our 2016 presidential election process,” Brennan said at one point, one of several moments in which his words seemed aimed squarely at the president.

Brennan refused to name any of the U.S. individuals who were apparently detected communicating with Russian officials.

Brennan topped off his idle speculation with the following substantively irrelevant, but spearing observation:

"Frequently, people who go along a treasonous path do not know they are on a treasonous path until it is too late," Brennan said.

In other words

Summary paraphrasing Brennan's lines:

"Y'all should accept that the Russians did bad things 'cause I'm telling you so.

"And you should also suspect that the President's people were involved in these bad things — even though I'm covering my weaseling ass by saying that I don't actually know who did what, if anything."

Crikey!

This "sonuvabitch" spy boy let himself slide off the Honor Pedestal with words to the effect that the CIA is in the intelligence but not the evidence business?

We can legitimately infer that thrown together disinformation and slander is all in day's work for him and his former Agency, even when it comes to so casually smearing our own guys.

The moral? — The Deep State is out to topple President Trump in disinformation-based ways

If you support this coup d'état because you dislike the President's oft-indulged totalitarian slant, think again.

Brennan's (and similarly cannibalistic conniving from the United States' Hidden Bureaucracy of Security Paranoids) undermines the last tattered fragments of our apparently in name only democracy.

Deep State agents like Brennan, Comey and Clapper — to name just the most recently visible fraction of such folk — are:

unelected,

unapologetically authoritarian,

vacuously self-righteous

grossly hypocritical

(metaphorical) termite-worms —

who persistently gnaw and parasitize Freedom's most important Constitutional foundations.

President Trump, for all his endless flaws, operates in comparatively clear view. These pretended America-Saviors do not. And they hold the levers of enormous physical and governmental power.

This shadow-like government is Liberty's deadliest enemy. Which is why it spends so much of its time (a) diverting public attention away from its anti-democratic doings and (b) toward alleged and consistently overblown Nasties somewhere else.

One does not need to think "conspiracy" to see how an out-of-control national security bureaucracy undermines freedom and Truth.

The United States' lack of meaningful national seriousness has done us in.
