Rare punctuations of common sense . . .

 

. . . sometimes inexplicably surface to float, glimpse-like, atop the American Idiocracy.

 

To wit, as reported by Shaiel Ben-Ephraim on X:

 

 

According to the Wall Street Journal [see here], General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned the administration that attacks on Iran would have significant downsides:

 

1) Caine warned that the war plans under consideration carry a high risk of significant American and allied casualties.

 

2)  He cautioned that a multi-day campaign would exhaust air-defense munitions and other limited-supply items, which are critical for protecting regional partners like Israel if Iran retaliates.

 

3) An intensive operation against Iran could deplete stockpiles to a level that would complicate U.S. readiness for a potential future conflict with China.

 

4) He described the potential campaign as one that could "stretch the military thin" and leave forces "overtaxed".

 

5) Caine's gave "high likelihood of success" reassurances before the January 2026 mission to apprehend Nicolas Maduro, he has been unable to provide similar guarantees regarding a large-scale strike on Iran.

 

 

Our Narcissist in Chief, of course . . .

 

. . . denied that Lieutenant General Caine had so deviantly strayed from the President's band of slaughter-happy maniacs.

 

The President's Truth Social attack (denying Caine's as-reported military common sense) arrived in Trump's characteristically un-paragraphed form of frontotemporal lobe spillage:

 

 

Numerous stories from the Fake News Media have been circulating stating that General Daniel Caine, sometimes referred to as Razin, is against us going to War with Iran. The story does not attribute this vast wealth of knowledge to anyone, and is 100% incorrect. General Caine, like all of us, would like not to see War but, if a decision is made on going against Iran at a Military level, it is his opinion that it will be something easily won. He knows Iran well in that he was in charge of Midnight Hammer, the attack on the Iranian Nuclear Development. It is a Development no longer, but rather, was blown to smithereens by our Great B-2 Bombers. Razin Caine is a Great Fighter, and represents the Most Powerful Military anywhere in the World. He has not spoken of not doing Iran, or even the fake limited strikes that I have been reading about, he only knows one thing, how to WIN and, if he is told to do so, he will be leading the pack. Everything that has been written about a potential War with Iran has been written incorrectly, and purposefully so. I am the one that makes the decision, I would rather have a Deal than not but, if we don’t make a Deal, it will be a very bad day for that Country and, very sadly, its people, because they are great and wonderful, and something like this should never have happened to them.

 

 

The moral? — The Oligarchy-controlled United States thrives on war

 

Morality and common sense are (therefore) American leadership's most dangerous enemies.

 

Thus, Lieutenant General Dan Caine will likely be quietly escorted from public view, if the Wall Street Journal report is accurate. America's worst people eliminate the United States' best from exercising societal benefit of any kind.

 

For example, demonstrating even marginal competence in diplomacy would be absolute anathema to Secretary of State 'enslave them all' Marco Rubio.

 

Meeting historical standards for professional law practice and ethical government advocacy by Attorney General Pam Bondi would be (we have discovered) equally unheard of.

 

Not to mention the  airheaded exploits of the militarily imbecilic and erectile-stroking warmonger, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

 

To that brief (but representative) list of malice-bringers, I need not explicitly add the President himself. Principally noted for shooting his mouth off in inept elementary school verbiage and (minute-by-minute) radically contradictory ways.

 

The sum total of which cost the American public billions of dollars with every vacuously uttered word and psychosis-like command.

 

This is not a Ship of State that will survive historical truth's torpedo.

 

Sadly, nothing substantially reparative is likely to come from our population of (predominantly) willfully ignorant, stubbornly irrational, blindly clannish, ever-prickly and easily propagandized fleece-bearers.

 

Singapore's Oliver Hua had us properly pegged. We live in a kakistocratic idiocracy. Undoubtedly world history's singularly most spectacular one.

 

Of that dubious achievement, President Trump will (no doubt) claim crediting accolades.

 

And so, Lieutenant General Caine, I salute you (if deserved) for so contrarily briefly blazing across our doomed skies.
