Swinging for the fences . . .

. . . of irremediable personal obtuseness:

Tulsi Gabbard, the U.S. national intelligence director, said on Oct. 31 that America’s former strategy of “regime change or nation building” had ended under President Donald Trump . . . .

“For decades, our foreign policy has been trapped in a counterproductive and endless cycle of regime change or nation building,” Gabbard said.

“It was a one-size-fits-all approach, of toppling regimes, trying to impose our system of governance on others, intervene in conflicts that were barely understood and walk away with more enemies than allies.”

Almost literally as Gabbard spoke . . .

The Miami Herald reported that:

Washington has doubled the reward for information leading to [Venezuela president] Maduro’s arrest to $50 million—the largest such bounty ever offered—and currently offers $25 million rewards for the capture of some of his top lieutenants . . . .

In August, the United States began assembling a large-scale deployment in the southern Caribbean Sea near northern Venezuela, creating a Joint Task Force that initially included three destroyers . . . and an amphibious group of roughly 4,500 troops.

The mission has included maritime patrols by P-8 reconnaissance aircraft and long-range surveillance flights to map trafficking routes.

In September the deployment was reinforced with 10 F-35B fighters . . . and armed MQ-9 Reaper drones . . . . U.S. officials say those aircraft can conduct precision strikes against labs, clandestine airstrips, vehicles or vessels linked to drug operations.

On Oct. 24, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford and its strike group—including the cruiser USS Normandy and the destroyers USS Thomas Hudner, USS Ramage, USS Carney and USS Roosevelt—into the Caribbean.

What is actually true

The United States is planning to steal control of Venezuelan oil — the largest known reserve on the planet — evidently via additional internal political aid provided by Venezuela's own (arguably treasonous) Nobel Peace Prize winner — and American puppet — María Corina Machado.

The public relations cover for this US-sponsored attempt at regime change is America's fictitious claim that President Maduro heads a major drug-trafficking effort into the United States.

And María Corina Machado is presumably providing peace by surreptitiously trying to sell her nation out to its northern 'friend'.

The moral? — Regime change remains the cornerstone of the American Imperium

Tulsi Gabbard is a glowing example of the empire's avaricious foundation in lies.
