In regard to United States’ obviously failed democracy — in this instance, the crybaby-initiated Republican Party federal government shut-down

 

With 800,000 plus people instantly out of work — at an estimated economic cost of $1 billion per week — Republican California Congressman Devin Nunes described his budget-obstructing colleagues as:

 

 

Lemmings with suicide vests.

 

I think it’s moronic to shut down the government over this.

A nation of metaphorically sprinting (near brainless, bomb-wearing) lemmings.

 

Salivating delightedly, as we intentionally sail off a cliff edge that everyone saw coming.

 

Those of us — who are not crushed at the base of the fall in the pile of what was once (apparently) Rodent America — will have to give Representative Nunes a prize for so concisely capturing 21st Century American experience.
